Five Gifts You Can Give As A Kid
Christmas time is only once a year and so is a birthday. So it's just right that when you give a gift, you make it special. Yes, there are gifts that you can buy and that's what most people expect these days anyway. But what about if you are a kid and you don't have the money to buy a gift for your loved ones? You sure can't ask them for money to buy them gifts; that just doesn't make it special enough even if the thought really is there.
Kids, however, can make it most special by giving different kinds of gifts that they don't need to spend money on. Here are some of the best gift ideas that you can give as a kid to your loved ones the next holiday season, birthday, or anniversary.
• Welcome – There is nothing better than being welcomed into someone's home during a visit. Is your grandmother or grandfather stopping over for the holidays? One of the gifts that you can give is to be at the door when they arrive. This is the gift of welcoming them into your home. Give your grandparents or other relatives a big hug or even a kiss when they walk through that door. They will not only be touched but will remember you always.
• Help – Another small thing that you can do is help around the house. For example, if your mom is cooking, you can help set the table up for the rest of the family. Or you can help with certain things in the garage when your dad is fixing up the car or doing some other chore. Do you have a little brother or sister who needs help with homework? You can lend a helping hand by being there when they need someone to help solve a problem. Lastly, you can help by doing chores that you weren't asked to do in the first place. Of course, make sure it's safe to do them first.
• Decorate – The Christmas tree might need a little sprucing up during the holiday season so again you can help decorate the tree or do it yourself if you have the time and the capability. This is a great way of sharing how much you love your parents and your siblings. The same can even be done with friends. Go over to their house once you are done with your tree and help them with anything that they may need. This is indeed a great blessing to anyone who needs help.
• Play – Christmas is all about cheer and playing, so if you have friends over or if your siblings look like they are bored and need something to do, start a game and play with them. This is something that will be remembered always. Having fun with your friends and loved ones is one of the best gifts that you can give and receive at the same time.
• Be easy – Sure, it's tough being a kid. But you only make it more difficult for yourself and for your friends or loved ones if you start being difficult. Be more patient with the decisions that people make around you. Don't get angry and don't throw a fuss. The quality of patience is something that people will admire and that kind of gift will ensure that you are showered with gifts each and every season.
