Three Great Gift Ideas For St. Valentine's Day
The day of hearts, love and romance is upon us. If you happen to be suffering a bad case of the love bug this time around, it might be a pretty good idea for you to come prepared for the day of days when it comes to professing your love, asking the person you love if he or she could be your boyfriend or girlfriend and many other brave, courageous, and maybe sometimes even foolish acts.
Nobody likes to be alone during Valentine's, and if you happen to be a hopeless romantic, you better listen in buddy, cause perhaps you could use some of these ideas to your advantage during one of the most important days for love and romance. If you believe that love conquers all, you better be ready with whatever it is you need to drop the big L-bomb on a day where courage, bravery, charm, and luck would all hopefully be on your side.
1. Instead of just flowers, give her what she wants.
It's true that most of the girls who are old enough to understand the whole love and romance thing love flowers. But you need to ask yourself if that's just the only thing that she wants. There's a pretty big chance that she might want something more than just flowers. After all, a bouquet of flowers just seems like it's a pretty generic gift; a cliché if you will even think about it.
If you happen to really know the girl you're planning to profess your love for this Valentine's Day, it's going to take more than just flowers and chocolates to sway her heart to your favor. So listen to what she talks about, and make sure that you pay close attention to her. There really isn't that much in trying to decode what a woman really wants; whether she's into clothes, dogs, and anything else, there's a really big chance that she talks about her likes all the time. If you're attentive and resourceful enough, you can actually give her that what she wants the most.
2. Enough of the material part, it's time to get sentimental.
Sometimes, women won't really care about how big the figure is on that price tag or how huge that rock is on the ring. If you keep spoiling your girlfriend with material gifts, she might get used to this kind of treatment which would result to her wanting that same exact kind of thing every time an occasion comes along.
Your relationship shouldn't be driven by how deep your pockets are; that whole icky love thing should still be what drives you to each other. Get sentimental, make her a scrapbook or a frame or something; do something that's going to make her and yourself happy without having to burn a gaping whole in your bank account.
3. Give her something that she can hold on to forever.
Whether it's a diamond ring, or a gold necklace or anything else, these gifts are definitely one for the ages. That's because they don't rot, they won't run out, and they obviously don't have an expiry date. Think about it; she can hold on to it forever, whether it's a locket that bears you two or a bracelet or a ring.
